Mobile & Guardian Portal In development

The university in a student's pocket — and a parent's.

Two store apps on one codebase, and a Guardian Portal that opens the record to parents on the university's terms. Both are being built on the APIs the web platform already runs on, so nothing a university configures today has to be redone for mobile.

Android & iOS

My University

For students, faculty and management at my.<university>. Type the portal address once — or scan the QR on the notice board — and the app re-themes to the university: logo, colours, login imagery, name.

Students

  • Today's timetable, attendance per course with the debar threshold as a colour band, outstanding fees and unread notices on one home screen
  • QR attendance check-in — scan the teacher's rotating code in class
  • Results, running CGPA and transcript PDF shared straight to WhatsApp or Files
  • Fee vouchers with the 1Link / bank consumer number, in-app card payment, challan PDF
  • Announcements, news and calendar events with push notifications
  • One-tap hand-off into Moodle — already signed in

Faculty & management

  • Per-lecture attendance marking that tolerates patchy campus Wi-Fi, and a rotating QR for students to scan
  • Leave and OD requests, monthly reports, salary slip
  • Advisor view: advisees with attendance and CGPA flags
  • Approvals inbox for deans and directors — approve, reject or return a file from the phone, with the minute-sheet timeline and a push when something lands in your queue

Eportal

For applicants and candidates at eportal.<university> — the population that never sits at a desktop.

  • Application status, merit-list result push, offer-letter PDF
  • Document upload from the camera — CNIC, certificates, photo
  • Application-fee vouchers, instalments and card payment
  • Careers, testing service admit cards, hostel and short-course applications
Push notifications for every status change — "your merit-list result is out", "your voucher is due in two days" — replace the phone calls an admissions office fields in August.

Branding

Your university's app, without your own app-store listing.

Branding is live the day a university signs up: splash, logo, colours, notifications and a home-screen shortcut carrying the university's own icon. Institutions that want "IST Mobile" in the stores under their own name choose the white-label tier — same codebase, their icon, their developer accounts.

Guardian Portal In development

Parents see what matters, on the university's terms — and pay for it.

A parent or guardian gets their own login on the web and in My University, linked to one or more children, with a read-only, curated view of each child's academic life. Access is a subscription the university prices, waives or bundles into the fee challan — a new revenue line for the institution, and the reason a population that never touches the UMS installs the app.

Attendance

Per-course attendance with the debar threshold, and an alert the day a class is missed or attendance falls below the line.

Results & CGPA

Declared results as they are published, running CGPA, transcript PDF.

Fees

Vouchers and dues, next instalment, due-in-three-days and overdue alerts — and pay the voucher in-app where the university allows it.

Timetable & notices

Today's classes, exam schedule, announcements the university targets at parents.

Flags

Short attendance, probation, debar, fee default — the things a parent would want to know early.

Privacy by design

Parents see a curated projection of what the student sees, never more. Linking a child needs the student's consent by default; universities can choose their own consent mode. Every access to results and fees is logged.

Free tier that helps the university get paid. Fee vouchers and due-date alerts are free to every linked parent; academic data sits behind the subscription.
Pricing is policy, not code. Per child or per guardian, per semester, per year or one-time, bundled into the challan or billed separately — set a platform default and let each university override it.

Built on what already runs.

Every screen above is a projection of APIs the web platform serves today — enrolment, attendance, results, fees, timetable, approvals and communications. The apps and the Guardian Portal are in development for the 2026–27 academic year; the web platform is live now.
