The platform
Everything a university does. In one place.
26 functional areas across ~500 screens, grouped into eleven chapters. Every one of them writes to the same student, employee and financial record — which is why a fee clearance, a transcript and an HEC return never disagree.
Admissions & Enrollment
From Facebook lead to enrolled student, without re-typing a single name.
Admissions is where most universities lose both money and credibility — a merit list that has to be withdrawn is a public failure. UMSonCloud makes the merit list a computed artefact, not a spreadsheet someone maintains.
What is in the chapter
- Admission campaigns with per-programme merit formulas, eligibility templates and quotas
- Merit list engine: merit keys, formula builder, generation, locking, reconsideration
- Eligibility templates evaluated in bulk against every applicant
- Boards, certificates, subjects and the education-flow model behind eligibility
- Offer letters, documents master, fee refunds, migration applications
- Agencies and agents for overseas and franchise recruitment
- CRM Meta leads — Facebook and Instagram lead capture straight into the funnel
- Outreach events, short courses, cohort management with cut-offs
Academics & OBE
The academic engine — 107 screens of curriculum, policy and progression.
This is the deepest part of the system and the hardest thing to buy elsewhere. Curriculum structure, credit-hour policy, progression rules and OBE attainment are modelled as configurable data, not code — which is why the same platform serves an engineering university and a general one.
What is in the chapter
- Academic sessions, batches, semesters, calendars and holidays
- Programmes, specialisations, template courses with pre- and co-requisites
- Plan of Study: build, assign, track course by course
- Sections, rooms, enrolments, self-enrolment and course-repeat workflow
- Attendance policy engine with lecture and group attendance
- OBE: PEOs, PLOs, CLOs, mappings, knowledge profiles, engineering competencies, attainment dashboard
- Policy as configuration: credit hour, grade, attendance, progression and relegation
- Programme advisors, BASAR supervisors, internships, student migration

Examinations & Results
Exam week, without the war room.
Seating, invigilation, award lists, moderation and result declaration are the highest-risk fortnight in the academic year. UMSonCloud gives every step a workflow, an owner and an audit trail.
What is in the chapter
- Exams, exam types, day slots, time slots and room allocation
- Invigilators and exam in-charge assignment; admit cards
- Assessment categories and activities; result setting templates
- Marks management, gradebooks and verified gradebooks
- Grade templates, letter grades and grade policy
- Award lists with two-stage acknowledgement and approval
- Consolidated results, result declaration, F-grade reports
- Transcripts and consolidated academic record
Finance & Fees
Books that reconcile themselves.
Fee collection in Pakistani universities means bank scrolls, part-payments, quota concessions, fines and refunds — reconciled by hand. UMSonCloud ingests the bank's scroll and matches it to the voucher that generated it.
What is in the chapter
- Voucher engine: types, particulars, template headers and bodies
- Fee plans, fee types, fee quotas and programme account codes
- Installments, fine slots and student fines
- Banks, bank scroll logs, transaction logs, challan status check
- Student vouchers, wallets, account statements, financial clearance
- Budget estimation, master book, exchange rates, SmartPay dashboard
- Scholarship scrutiny, grants and payments

People — HR, Payroll & Performance
The employee side of a university is a university-sized problem.
Faculty and staff records, biometric attendance, leave, payroll, appraisal and recruitment on the same record — so a leave approval, a salary slip and an APER form all agree with each other.
What is in the chapter
- Employees, teachers, titles and course types
- Attendance with ZKTeco ADMS biometric device integration
- Salaries, remuneration, overtime slots and manual entry
- Leaves: types, requests, cancellation, ledger, balance reports, dashboard
- APER: appraisal types, assessment attributes, gradings, my-appraisal, reports
- Careers: designations, post templates, advertisements, candidate profiles
- My Apps: lecture attendance, OD requests, my salary, weekly and monthly reports
Student Experience
What the student actually touches.
One login from applicant to alumnus. The e-Portal account a student creates to apply becomes the portal they use for six years — results, challans, LMS, societies, transport and support on one screen.
What is in the chapter
- e-Portal: registration, admission applications, career applications, hostel, short courses, challans
- Student Portal: dashboard, academics, LMS, assignments, surveys, notice board, vouchers
- Duplicate card, scholarship and society applications; transport schedule; support tickets
- Student Affairs: societies, events, funding, competitions, tenures, member types
- Announcements, news, events, calendar and notifications with delivery analytics
- SMS and WhatsApp templates

Research & Quality
QEC and ORIC, as modules — not as a folder of Word files.
Every university must produce QEC self-assessment reports and ORIC research returns. Most produce them by hand, annually, in panic. In UMSonCloud the evidence accumulates as a by-product of daily operation.
What is in the chapter
- ORIC: research projects, grant applications, incentives and publication rewards
- ORIC calls, conferences, MoUs and MoU parties, communities
- KPIs with score by year; career development; ORIC dashboard
- QEC: survey types, terms, question banks, report categories
- Course evaluation by students; survey and programme-wise reporting
- Training and development; report management
- OBE attainment evidence produced continuously, cross-linked to Academics
Campus Operations
Hostels, buses, books and buildings.
The physical campus on the same record as the academic one — a hostel seat, a bus route and a library book all tied to the student they belong to.
What is in the chapter
- Hostel: sessions, applications, merit list, enrolment, room management, hostel finance
- Transport: routes, sub-routes, stops, vehicles, staff assignments, student schedule
- Library: books, accession register, publishers, sellers, languages, bills
- Assets and asset types, buildings, building structure, rooms and room types
- Procurement: material requests
Governance & Compliance
The paperwork that makes a university a legal entity.
Senate and syndicate records, the minute sheet, legal matters and cross-department requests — the file that every Pakistani university still moves by hand, digitised with a trail.
What is in the chapter
- Authority types, boards, members, senate meetings, council notifications, document repository
- Minute sheets: initiate, inbox, outbox, series and tracking
- Single Interface Request — one front door for cross-department requests
- Legal cases, courts, advisors and rates, matter types, frameworks, bill requests
- Configurable workflows with boundary rules; user audit and system logs
Decision Support
Twenty dashboards, one version of the truth.
Because every module writes to the same record, the dashboards are not a separate BI project. They are a view.
What is in the chapter
- Admissions, enrollment, academics and examination dashboards
- Faculty workload, fee income, finance, SmartPay and scholarship dashboards
- Survey and programme-wise survey, LMS and student dashboards
- Testing services, short courses, non-degree programmes, agency and referrals
- Career, programme advising, reports and academic reports

Platform, Security & Integrations
Built to run a group of institutions, not one office.
Organisations, campuses, affiliated colleges and distance centres under one tenant, with role, permission and module control per unit — the same codebase whether a college buys four modules or a university buys twenty-six.
What is in the chapter
- Organisations, organisational structure, multi-campus and affiliated units
- Role management, super roles, permission management, access templates
- Module management — switch modules on per institution
- Admin, super-admin and org-admin tiers; user audit and system logs
- Banks & gateways: Meezan and Faysal Bank APIs, SmartPay, PayFast, 1Link invoices, bank scroll reconciliation (HBL, Bank Alfalah, First Women Bank, JazzCash)
- ERPNext sync for employees, leave, attendance, budgets and procurement
- Moodle LMS sync and SSO; LimeSurvey for QEC course evaluation; ZKTeco ADMS biometrics
- WhatsApp, SMS and email templates; Meta lead ads; FET timetable generation
